True. There are lots of tools to block that, however, on the desktop anyway:

1. AdBlock Edge (or Plus, but Edge doesn't have loopholes): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-edge/

3. Ghostery: https://www.ghostery.com/en/
